About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the formwork and molds used to shape concrete structures such as columns, beams, slabs, and foundations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with carpentry tools, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong understanding of concrete shuttering techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and assemble wooden or metal formwork for concrete pouring.
• Interpret and work from construction drawings and blueprints.
• Install formwork and falsework for various concrete structures (walls, columns, slabs, staircases, etc.).
• Ensure shuttering is level, aligned, and secured to withstand concrete pressure.
• Strip and remove formwork once concrete has set.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Follow safety standards and procedures on-site at all times.
• Collaborate with site engineers, steel fixers, and concrete workers.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials, particularly concrete formwork.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry.
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather and site conditions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or construction (preferred).
• Certification in construction site safety (an advantage).
• Previous experience on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
